About me
I'm a Colombian born and raised in Cauca, one of the most affected regions by the armed conflict in the country. I have over 5 years of experience at the intersection of gender equity, peacebuilding, and public policy. Outside of work, I am also a Hogwarts fan, salsa dancer💃🏾 and LGBTIQ+ advocate 🏳️🌈

Testified before the Vermont State Legislature on domestic violence, racial disparities, housing, and hate crimes during my time as Racial Equity Policy & Research Analyst at the State of Vermont's Office of Racial Equity (ORE).
Coordinated implementation of Colombia's Public Utility Law (Law 2292/2023) at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, working across institutional and community stakeholders.
Conducted fieldwork in Tierra Grata, César, with former FARC-EP women fighthers who signed the Colombia's 2016 Peace Agreement. Documented reintegration experiences for academic research and crafted a policy brief in Spanish.
Produced U.S. State Department Diplomacy Lab research on increasing connectivity in Colombia at the Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI). Submitted a policy brief to the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.
Crafted an annotated bibliography for USAID (English-French) about food security in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at PPRI.
Led consultancy on palm oil agro-industry and land grabbing in Mapiripán-Meta. Linked environmental justice and public policy with a focus on Sikuani indigenous rights,at Comisión Intereclesial de Justicia y Paz.
Interned for the Comisión para el Esclarecimiento de la Verdad, la Convivencia y la No Repetición (Colombia's Truth Commission). Interviewed social leaders, and systematized 5 non-violent resistance experiences.
Co-crafted a policy brief about euthanasia in children and teenagers in Colombia with the research group on Public Policy (APPGP) at Universidad Nacional de Colombia

I hold an M.A. in Feminist Organizational Communication from Purdue University and a Bachelors in Political Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where I graduated as valedictorian.
